Dear Residents, Police have received several reports of cheating via payment for purchases using dud cheques. The victims targeted were persons who had posted online advertisements to sell high-tech products such as handphones and laptops. 2              Pls refer to the attached advisory for more information. 3              Thank you.  

Several Youths have fallen prey to tricksters who “borrowed” their handphones on the pretext of making emergency calls, usually at Local Area Network (LAN) shops. The tricksters purchased game credits on the phone and charged the cost to the handphone subscriber. Pls find attached document for more information.    

Recently, several cases of housebreaking and theft were reported at Jurong West housing estate. The break-ins were believed to have occured at night when human traffic was low. For more information, pls refer to the advisory.
