Parents’ Day Celebration

About 400 residents gathered at the Multi-Purpose Hall between Blk 357 and 359 at Yung An Road on 28 May 2011 for a fun-filled evening to celebrate Parents’ Day.

 The event started with an Art Competition for 5-8 year olds. This was followed by rousing song and dance performances by a group of adorable and enthusiastic PCF Little Wings students. The parents also joined in the fun by partnering their kids in various games. The event also showcased a touch of culture as the Taman Jurong MAEC group entertained the audience with a Dikir Barat item. The kids were also thrilled with their free balloon sculptures, which were given out as part of the launch of a new Balloon Sculpturing Interest Group. 20 lucky residents walked away with a host of prizes in the lucky draw. The event culminated with the children singing “Happy Parents’ Day” as mothers with birthdays in May and June, joined the Guest-of-Honor, Mr. Ang Wei Neng, MP for Jurong GRC, in cutting the Parents’ Day cake.
