Lakeside Primary School is a government primary school located in Taman Jurong. It was formed by a merger of Yung An Primary School, Merlimau Primary School and Jurong Town Primary School, under the Education Ministry's Programme for Rebuilding and Improving Existing Schools. Operations at Lakeside Primary School started on 1 Jan 2003. It was later officially opened on 23 Jul 2004 by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, then Minister for Education.

Jurong Secondary School is a government secondary school located at 31 Yuan Ching Road in Taman Jurong. On the request of community leaders, then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew helped to establish the school in 1963 as Jurong Integrated Secondary School. It was renamed Jurong Secondary School in later years.
The school has a niche area in sports, especially Basketball and Volleyball, and has won many National championships since the 1970s. Presently, Jurong Secondary School holds the convenership in Singapore Schools basketball. The school has its own wireless Internet network, which facilitates the deployment of e-learning technologies all across campus.
Recently, Jurong Secondary was selected as one of the FutureSchools@Singapore, alongside Hwa Chong Institution and Crescent' Girls School. Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong, Minister of State for Education, Lui Tuck Yew and numerous foreign visitors have visited the school. More information on the school can be found here.
Yuan Ching Secondary School started in Jan 1978 as a Government integrated school with both Chinese and English-medium students. From 1987 to 1990, the school also functioned as a Pre-University centre offering Arts and Commerce courses. The last batch of Chinese-medium students graduated in 1987.
The school's strength lies in academic value-added performance. In line with its core values of “I ExCEL” (Integrity, Excellence, Compassion, Enterprise & Loyalty), the school aims to provide an enriching learning experience for all students while sustaining value-added academic performance. The school administration has a strong emphasis on positive school tone and discipline to learn as well as on encouraging all areas of student growth in a caring and learner-centred school environment. It also has a host of level-wide, comprehensive care and self-help programmes to nurture students of good character, and a range of varied and challenging enrichment programmes and CCAs to develop different talents.
