Wushu Demonstration & Fun Carnival

About 300 residents and guests gathered at the Taman Jurong Community Club Hall on Sunday morning to witness a demonstration of the Chinese martial arts (Wushu) by members of the Singapore Lion Dance and Wushu Association. The demonstration included Qigong and Taiji. The residents were joined by the Guest-of-Honour, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister of Finance and MP for Jurong GRC and Advisor to Taman Jurong Grassroot Organisations. At the end of the demonstration, the residents and guests were treated to a simple reception before they proceeded to the Community Club Foyer to enjoy themselves at the Fun Carnival organised by members of the Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC).
